MAN WITH WEAPONS ARRESTED FOR SERIOUS THREATS TO FIVE MINORS

The Local Police of Calvià has arrested a 45-year-old man from Santa Ponça for serious threats with a pistol to a group of young people who were cycling last night on the Paseo Calvià. The agents detained the delinquent and seized in his car abundant weapons, ammunition and accessories. The detainee has numerous records of robbery with force, gender violence, breach of sentence, theft, injury, and against property. In addition, he does not have any type of weapons license.
The Local Police of Calvià had a talk last night with five minors, aged 15 and 16, near the Mill of Santa Ponça. The teenagers, residents in Calvià and Palma, reported that a man with a gun threatened to shoot them if they scratched his car. With the data provided and the description of the vehicle, a police crew went immediately to Costa de la Calma where they located the car that corresponded with the characteristics that the young people had given. Inside they found the man accompanied by a woman. In addition, in the trunk and in the rear seat they found two pistols, two shotguns, knives, ammunition, etc. Finally, it could be proven that they were compressed air weapons, but because of their characteristics, anyone could have mistaken them for real firearms. They also discovered invoices that refer to part of the guarded material, amounting to about € 1,400.
The Local Police has informed the Court of Guardia and has delivered the detainee to the Civil Guard of Calvià.
