II PROSTITUTION CONFERENCE: PROSTITUTION AND PORNOGRAPHY, MALE PRIVILEGES
The II 'Prostitution in Calvià' conference, which in this edition will debate and reflect on ''prostitution and pornography, male privileges'', will take place on Thursday 13th December at the Sala Palmanova.
The conference will begin at 10 a.m. with a welcome speech from the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the intervention of the feminist activist, Amelia Tiganus, who will offer the inaugural lecture under the title "Prostitution is a male privilege and incompatible with gender equality".
Throughout the day, the Autonomous Protocol, which deals issues such as girls and women prostitution and trafficking for sexual exploitation in the Balearic Islands, will be presented by the director of IbDona, Rosa Cursach, in addition to the intervention of the filmmaker, writer and activist against human trafficking, Mabel Lozano, who will speak about "Men and prostitution: pimps", amongst other planned activities.
