ASPANOB AND NEMO FOUNDATION RECEIVE NEULA PARC'S (CHILDREN'S PARK IN CALVIÀ) COLLECTION

Calvià Town Hall gives each entity 3,606 euros

The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has handed out the cheque with the collection of the Neula Parc playground, which was held from 27th to 30th December 2018.

As every year, the Town Hall has allocated the money raised with the tickets to two social entities that in this edition have been ASPANOB and the Nemo Foundation, which have received a 3,606 euros cheque each. The mayor stressed that thanks to the nearly 1,400 people who daily attended the Christmas park, it was possible, one more year, to dedicate the event to charity.

Aspanob is the Association of parents of children with cancer in the Balearic Islands that has a comprehensive care programme with free social welfare housing programmes for families forced to travel, psychosocial support, school support, social assistance and financial aid and leisure, free time activities and family respite.

Fundación Nemo supports and advises people with functional diversity, and its activity is held at the Centre, a pioneering space in which neurorehabilitation treatments; the Nemo platform, where families meet to share experiences and obtain advice, and the Nemo grants, are offered.

The event was attended by the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés; the councillor of Social Welfare and Senior Citizens, Mayte Albertí; the general director of Social Development and Equity, Ana Pérez; Jaume Coll, president of ASPANOB, and Leonor Félix, president of the Nemo Foundation.
