Calvią stabilises 51 Local Police places

Thursday 7th February 2019

The process to stabilise 51 Calvià Local Police places finishes

The unified public examination process, which has resulted in the stabilisation of 51 Calvià Local Police places, thus reducing the rate of interim staff, has been completed. The Government, through the Institute of Public Security of the Balearic Islands (ISPIB) and the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP), convened a special unified process in which, in addition to Calvià, the Town Halls of Palma, Capdepera, Bunyola and Artà, have participated.

Mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal attended the welcome ceremony at the service of the local police officers, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Catalina Cladera, together with the deputy mayor for Security, Andreu Serra; the general director of Security, José Antonio Fernández, and the head of the local police of Calvià, Justino Trenas.

These processes are framed in the new scenario of possibilities in terms of local police officers provided by the Decree Law 1/2017 and the new Law 11/2017 on the coordination of local police officers, which allow the town halls to have local police vacancies with allocated budget and occupied by interim staff, perform an extraordinary procedure to provide them through the public examination system, within a period of three years.
