ROCK & FEM EXHIBITION, WOMEN IN THE WORLD OF MUSIC, AT 'ES GENERADOR' YOUTH BUILDING
The youth building hosts the exhibition as part of the activities planned for Women's Week
'Es Generador' youth building's premises hosts a photo exhibition by Verónica Menéndez Salinas, Laura G. Guerra and Magdalena Gil Galmés, which highlights the intervention of women in the world of music. It is an exhibition organised by Calvià Town Hall, in collaboration with RUNAWAY, within the framework of the activities scheduled for Women's Week.
The three photographers, who have provided pictures of their professional career, attended the opening of the exhibition, last Monday afternoon.
The exhibition will remain in Es Generador until 7th March. On the 9th, the works will be moved to the Sala Palmanova, where the performances of Aura Veus, Sweet Poo Smell and Desenterradas will begin at 8.30 p.m., at the FEMFEST Calvià 2019.
In addition to the photo exhibition, a radio programme titled "Radio en femenino" will be recorded on 4th March at Es Generador Multimedia room, with the participation of young people from the municipality. And, from 25th April to 11th May, Es Generador will host the exhibition “Huellas de mujeres geniales”, with the biographies of 25 women of 20th and 21st century, who have been chosen for their work, for their human quality and because they have left their mark on the history of humanity, even though they are not well known compared to the men of their generation.
