CALVIÀ NIGHTLIFE WORKTABLE IS NOW ESTABLISHED
The Nightlife Worktable, which was announced at Calvià Tourism Forum's last meeting to deal with drunkenness tourism and move towards improving the quality of the areas that suffer from this type of tourism, has been established this morning. The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, highlighted that the commitment of all sectors is needed to offer quality nightlife. The table will meet every month to work with specific objectives that go beyond the next season.
The different municipal departments involved (Tourism, Local Police, Commerce, Activities, Calvià 2000 and Equality), as well as the Hotel Association of Palmanova-Magaluf, the Hotel Association of Santa Ponça, ABONE and ACOTUR associations, Radio Taxi Calvià and Civil Guard are part of the worktable.
Today's meeting was attended by the Mayor, the deputy mayor for Equality and Local Police, Nati Francés; the councillor for Commerce, Francisca Muñoz; the general director of municipal coordination and Local Police, José Antonio Fernández; the general director of Tourism, Xavier Pascuet, and the head of the local Police of Calvià, Francisco Darder, as well as the section head of the Equality Service, Sandra Sedano.
