The Galatzó residential area's skate track renovation and extension works, which include the interior renovation of the old petanque club building that will become a youth building, are about to be completed.

The works have consisted of the renovation and extension of the existing skate track, so the old modules have been removed and the track has been expanded making a continuous floor between the old and the new track that form a unique area for the practice of skate, which has a total area of 1.500 m2. Also, new lighting will be installed and a second entrance to the enclosure will be opened, removing architectural barriers.

In addition, the works include the refurbishment of the old petanque club interior, from which partitions and tiling have to be demolished, two adapted bathrooms and a distribution hall must be made. The building will be used for youth premises that will be managed by the Town Hall's Youth Department and that may be used by entities of the municipality. An outdoor bathroom is also planned for the track users.

Galatzó's skate will open its doors to the public on 14th March.
