CALVIÀ TOWN HALL GRANTS MORE THAN 94.000 EUROS IN AIDS FOR THE SHOP MODERNISATION
There are 52 beneficiaries who will receive the aids that this year have included improvements and novelties with regards to the grants from previous years
Calvià Town Hall will grant 94.344 euros in extraordinary aids to promote the economic reactivation of the commercial sector which, in this year's call, includes novelties to respond to the situation caused by Covid-19, regarding both the new sanitary hygienic protocols that must be followed, as well as, and above all, to the sector's modernisation promotion.
In total, 52 beneficiaries, who have met the requirements set out in the legislation and the terms and conditions of the call, will access these grants that this year included, as a novelty, 3 different lines: the modernisation of the premises, which finances renovation or maintenance works, the acquisition of furniture or equipment, the installation of awnings and canopies outside, the modification of advertising elements or the modification of existing facilities; the acquisition and installation of sanitary hygienic nature elements that are mandatory or recommended in any legal norm issued as a consequence of Covid-19, such as protection screens, signage vinyls, hydroalcoholic gel and dispensers, etc; and a third line for establishments to join electronic commerce, and which finances the cost of acquiring computer and electronic equipment, the acquisition or renewal of software licenses and professional services or any cost associated with the creation, updating or maintenance of a website either to advertise the activity or for the sale of products or services.
For modernisation line 1, a total of 53.323 euros will be awarded to the 19 applications that have met the requirements; for line 2 - aids for sanitary and hygienic elements, a total of 5.789 euros are granted to 10 applications, and for line 3- aids for electronic commerce, a total of 35.231 euros are granted to 37 beneficiaries.
For lines 1 and 2, 80% of the cost of the action is financed, in establishments of up to 300 m2, with a municipal contribution of a maximum of 9.000 euros. This represents an improvement over the calls for aids for the modernisation of establishments in previous years, in which 60% of the cost of the actions was financed, with a maximum of 6.000 euros. For line 3, 80% of the cost of the action is financed, with a municipal contribution of a maximum of 6.000 euros.
