NEW PUBLIC TRANSPORT USER SERVICE POINTS IN CALVIÀ
All procedures related to the Intermodal Card may be carried out
As from 20th January, public transport users in the western area of Mallorca will be able to process the Intermodal Card at the new service points provided by the Calvià Town Hall. Thus, the TIB bus user will no longer have to travel to the Palma Intermodal Station to carry out the transport card procedures.
The offices are located at both, Santa Ponça Sports Centre (4 Ríu Sil St.) and Magaluf Sports Centre (Avda. de las Palmeras, no. 23 or Miño Street, no. 1-21). The opening hours to the public will be from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The issuance, renewal and duplicate of the Intermodal Card can be processed. For all other procedures and inquiries regarding public transport, the user has at his/her disposal the tib.org website, telephone number 971 17 77 77 and the Palma Intermodal Station information office.
These offices are the result of a collaboration between the Calvià Town Hall and the Consorci de Transports de Mallorca. Thus, the increase in demand for the Intermodal Card that currently exists due to the new tariff system that came into force with the start of the new TIB service, on 1st January, can be met.
The Intermodal Card is aimed at all Mallorca residents. Since the beginning of the year, the Intermodal Card has become a smart card and works with a points system that rewards regular users. Thus, the more they travel, the more they save. The amount of the Intermodal Card can be charged online on the TIB website, it can also be done inside the buses and through the vending machines at the train and underground stations.
