The I 'Joventut Lab Calvià' youth conference will take place on Wednesday 16th June at the Sala Palmanova in Calvià to discuss the well-being of the youth after the Covid-19 and analyse challenges and new forms of attention by public services.

The conference will have as guest lecturer the psychologist, educator and journalist, Jaume Funes Artiaga, who will talk on 'Intervention with youths in times of pandemic'. New challenges, new answers, which will give way to a second block of debate between working groups made up of professionals from different fields (youth services, education, employment, housing, health, social services, etc.).

Next, a panel with good practices will be presented, with specific projects that entities that work with young people from public services have in progress.

The conference will end with the closing ceremony by the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal. The councilwoman for Citizen Participation and Youth, Marga Plomer, who will welcome the people attending the conference, explains that the idea of convening this meeting responds to the shared concern between the different services and professionals about how to act and what to offer to the youth, after the so atypical situation that they have experienced as a result of the pandemic, and the impact they have had on an emotional and labour level.

The Joventut Lab Calvià conference is aimed at educators, professionals who work with young people, associations and, in general, at anyone in contact with and related to the youth world. Due to the health situation, the conference will be face-to-face and online.
