Thursday 14th October 2021

CALVIÀ TOWN HALL CALLS FOR ANNUAL TRADE ECONOMIC REACTIVATION PROMOTION GRANTS, WITH A 27% ALLOCATION INCREASE COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS CALL

The subsidies incorporate as a novelty the exemption of being up to date with the tax obligations in order to submit the request

(Applications can be submitted from 15th October to 4th November 2021. More information here)

As of tomorrow, the commercial sector of Calvià can apply for grants to promote economic reactivation, which, in this call, has an item of 127.858 euros, which represents a 27% increase compared to the 2020 call and a rise of more than 70% compared to the 2019 call.

The deputy mayor for Urban Planning, Commerce and Activities, Marc López, explains that Calvià Town Hall one more year launches these grants, and improves them, within the framework of promoting the commercial sector of the municipality and supporting the renovation and modernisation of the establishments.

These grants are intended for the commercial sector of Calvià and include 2 aid lines: the aesthetic improvement of establishments (renovation works, acquisition of furniture or equipment, etc.), and the promotion of actions aimed at innovation and digitisation of businesses (acquisition of point of sale terminals; contracting, websites updating or maintenance and acquisition of computer programmes for business management).

One of this year's call novelties is that it exempts beneficiaries from being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations, taking into account the economic situation that this productive sector has experienced.

In addition, the call includes advance payments of up to 75% of the aid amount, with which they will be able to count on three-quarters of the subsidy prior to submitting the invoices justifying the action.

The grants for aesthetic improvement will reach 80% of the invoices or budget presented, with a maximum of 9.000 euros. In the case of subsidies for innovation, 80% is also reached, with a maximum amount of 6.000 euros.
