Calvià Town Hall presents a budget project for 2022 that envisages a 3,92% increase, with regards to the accounts in 2021, and also regarding the pre-pandemic budget, with a 1,51% increase. In total, an amount of 102.303.341,58 euros is proposed.

It is expected, one more year, to repay debt in this case amounting to 2.484.213 euros, so the outstanding debt will be less than 1,2 M € at the end of 2022. In Calvià the debt will have gone from around 29 M € on 1st January 2019, to 1,2 M € on 31st December 2022. In total, 27.735.511,97 euros will have been amortized in 3 years.

The budgets for 2022, in short, are increased as debt decreases and without there being a tax increase.

Regarding investment, it will be of 5.872.941,39 euros, although throughout the year residual budget will be incorporated if necessary, which together with financing lines from the 'Next Generation' European funds, makes the forecast of the final total investment to exceed 10 million €.

Calvià accounts for next year are designed in a new recovery scenario, maintaining the commitment with the people and with the economic sectors that still need support to recover the income levels prior to the pandemic, and with an eye on the path of economic recovery that our Autonomous Community is experiencing in the post-pandemic stage, to give a new impulse to the activity of the municipality from the transformation of the destination and in terms of sustainability and the fight against climate change.
