ACT OF REMEMBRANCE OF DIEGO SALVÁ AND CARLOS SÁENZ DE TEJADA
Today, in Palmanova, the act in memory of Diego Salvá Lezaun and Carlos Sáenz de Tejada has taken place, on the 13th anniversary of their murder by the terrorist group ETA in Calvià.
During the act, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, dedicated a few words in which he remembered the two young Civil Guards with affection, sadness, pain and hope. The act was attended by the parents, relatives and friends of Diego Salvá; the Government delegate, Aina Calvo; the President of the Parlament, Vicenç Thomàs; the Minister of the Presidency of the Govern, Mercedes Garrido; the Minister of the Presidency of the Consell de Mallorca, Javier de Juan; the chief colonel of the Civil Guard in the Balearic Islands, Alejandro Hernández, the municipal Corporation and other civil and military authorities, as well as attending public.
After the mayor's words, the act has continued with a tribute. The institutional floral offering was then carried out by the mayor and the Government delegate, who delivered the floral crown to Diego Salvá's parents.
