Wednesday, 5th October 2022

THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL AND SONRISA MÉDICA SIGN THE AGREEMENT FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF THE DIA DE NASSOS

The event will take place next Sunday, October 9 at the Molí de Santa Ponça fairgrounds

This morning the agreement was signed between the Calvià Town Hall and Sonrisa Médica for the organization of the Dia de Nassos that will take place on Sunday, 9th October at the Molí de Santa Ponça fairgrounds. The deputy mayor for Youth and Citizen Participation, Marga Plomer, and the manager of the social entity, Marta Barrio, have signed the agreement.

The Dia de Nassos is a solidarity festival for families in which they can enjoy many activities. The benefits obtained will contribute to the maintenance of the social activity of Sonrisa Médica, the non-profit association, a pioneer in Spain, which seeks to transform the hospital environment through humor and music thanks to the work of a team of professional clowns collaborating with hospital staff.

Marga Plomer has pointed out that “we are very happy to be able to resume this collaboration with Sonrisa Médica and that the Dia de Nassos will be launched again in Calvià. The work clowns carry out is essential so that children who are in hospitals and their families can see a ray of light and smiles. From the Calvià Town Hall we can only facilitate the celebration of this day, and thank Sonrisa Médica for its good work».

The Dia de Nassos will be held on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and visitors will be able to enjoy robotics, painting, gastronomy and music workshops, amongst others, as well as activities such as playground games, traffic education track, electric motorcycle circuit, library and toy library, face painting, bouncy castles... There will also be batucada, circus, storytelling, rock concert, magic, and many more surprises.

Throughout the day there will be performances by Sonrisa Médica's clowns, and in the charity bar visitors will be able to participate in scratch cards with great prizes to support the social entity.
