Thursday 9th February 2023

THE ENTORN DE CALVIÀ MAGAZINE DEDICATES A MONOGRAPH TO INDUSTRY

The magazine has four dossiers that deal with energy, the potential industrialisation, construction and the Son Bugadelles industrial estate

Issue number 15 of the Entorn magazine on Industry, edited by Calvià Town Hall, has been presented today. During the presentation ceremony, the mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, thanked the contributions made by the people who have collaborated on this issue of the magazine which, he assured, "Poses a paradox in a municipality where tourism industry is discussed, but that allows us to know, through the journey from the past to the present and looking towards the future, the industry that transforms the product, currently closely linked to the Son Bugadelles industrial estate and closely linked to the service sector”. The mayor finished his reflection by recalling that the new General Plan foresees an expansion with space reserved for dry marinas, and affirmed that "We have the challenge of economic diversification, with activities linked to the green industry and the blue industry, within the framework of this new perspective on the territory, which will be essential for the tourism industry. This is where, he concluded, we have to move on ”.

The geographer Antoni Aguareles has also participated in the publication's presentation to discuss the beginning, development and perspectives of the Son Bugadelles industrial estate and the electrical energy.
