All studies and statistics carried out in the municipality of Calvià, with regard to tourism and resident population, reveal a great ignorance of the exceptional wealthy archaeological patrimony of the municipality.
The archaeological patrimony of Calvià is one of the most important of Majorca, yet it presented a high level of desertion.
The aim of this project, cofinanced by the European Union, is to relate this two situations and convert them in a positive and sustainable development factor at two levels:
With these objectives has the project of recovery of the Tśmulo been developed, one of the most important archaeological sites in the municipality which, by its location in an urban nucleus, well communicated and related to thePasseig Calvià allows to specify and achieve the fixed objectives.
The action in the Tśmulo of Son Ferrer is related to other interventions carried out in the area of Santa Ponça, in the archaeological park of the Puig de Sa Morisca, which allows the increase of the actions´impact, with the aim of obtaining the fixed objectives: recover the archaeological patrimony of the municipality and turn it into an important axle of tourist, cultural and educational promotion.
