- A series of sporting activities have been organised, such as mountain excursions, cycling, Nordic walking, and hiking along the Calvià Promenade
Calvià Town Hall, through its Environment Department, is once again joining the European Mobility Week, an initiative that has been held every September at European level since 2008 and is supported by the European Commission, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Regional Ministry of Mobility.
The campaign promotes more sustainable, safe, and healthy mobility habits, promoting travel on foot, by bicycle, by public transport, or by electric vehicle. It also seeks to raise awareness of new uses of public space, improve air quality, and contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions in the municipality.
To this end, two days of activities have been scheduled. On Friday, September 19th, a night hike to Sa Font Nova trail to enjoy the sunset has been organised by the Club de Montaña Yaís (Yaís Mountain Club). The meeting point will be Ca l'Amo En Biel car park on the Galatzó public estate at 6 p.m. The Town Hall will offer a small snack to the participants.
