Bartomeu Garí is doctorate in History by the University of the Balearic Islands and a member of the Grup d'Estudi de la Cultura, la Societat i la Política al Món Contemporani. He was a founding member of the Associació Memòria de Mallorca and is currently part of the Col·lectiu Recerca, a research, dissemination, debate and study group on the history of the Second Republic, the Civil War, the repression and the Franco regime. He has been part of the group of researchers that has drawn up the map of the mass graves of Mallorca.
