1st Conference: “The Value of Values in Calvià Sports”

Sports clubs as key transmitters of values

Calvià reaffirms its commitment to educational sport and the values that accompany it with the celebration of the 1st Conference “The Value of Values in Calvià Sports”, an event aimed at recognizing the fundamental role of sports clubs as the main transmitters of values among children, young people, and families in the municipality.

Venue: Sala Palmanova (Carrer Diego Salvà Lezaun, nº2, Palmanova – Calvià)
Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event is honored by its godparents, Marina Jover (Swimming – Club Natación Calvià) and José Pinedo (Athletics – Pegasus Athletic Club). These two athletes are outstanding representatives of the values promoted in Calvià’s sports community. For this first edition, they have been invited as event godparents to support and inspire the initiative. They embody effort, perseverance, respect, and self-improvement—true role models for grassroots sport in the municipality.

• 5:50 – 6:10 p.m. Arrival of participants

• 6:10 – 6:20 p.m. Opening of the Conference and introduction of the event godparents (Marina Jover and José Pinedo)

• 6:30 – 7:50 p.m. Round table with the participation of outstanding sports figures:

  • Mavi García (Cycling)

  • Sandra Perales (Fencing)

  • Joan Munar (Athletics)

  • Joan Toni Moreno (Canoeing)

  • Moderator: Javier Tascón, Deputy Mayor for Sports

• 7:50 – 8:00 p.m. Closing remarks by the Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual

• 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. Refreshments and networking
