Magaluf will host a fun-filled cultural day open to residents and tourists on 27th June. It will be a celebration of the completion of the 'Paseo Marítimo Gabriel Escarrer Juliá' promenade renovation.

To celebrate the transformation of the beachfront of one of the most important urban beaches in the municipality of Calvià, a spectacular seaside event has been planned, combining classical music, cutting-edge technology, and gastronomy. The highlight of the day will be a free, open-air concert by the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra, which, directed by its principal conductor Pablo Mielgo, will perform iconic film scores from the history of cinema. Under the theme "Magaluf is Cinema," the band will perform a repertoire focused on great film soundtracks, including iconic pieces from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park, as well as themes from 007, Titanic, and The Pink Panther.

Another highlight of the day will be an aerial show at dusk over the bay. Three hundred drones will feature figures and visual elements related to film themes, offering a sustainable visual alternative to traditional fireworks.

In addition, the second edition of the Magaluf Gastronomic Fair will take place throughout the weekend. This event showcases the quality of the local culinary offerings and will allow attendees to sample the best dishes from local establishments in a completely renovated setting.

This initiative is part of a campaign to raise awareness on sustainable tourism in Magaluf, promoting responsible behaviour amongst tourists and residents, fostering coexistence and environmental stewardship. An initiative promoted by the Balearic Government and financed through the Sustainable Tourism Tax. Calvià Town Hall frames these actions under the slogan ‘Magaluf for All’.
