Rei En Jaume Festivities 2026
Santa Ponça once again becomes the setting for the Rei En Jaume Festivities, which this year commemorates the 797th anniversary of King James I's landing in Mallorca.
From August 26 to September 6, the municipality will experience one of its most emblematic festive and cultural events, with a wide-ranging programme of activities that combines history, tradition, popular culture, sports, music, and proposals for everyone.
The programme includes traditional festival events, such as the presentation of the banners and the crowning of the king and queen, the Trobada de Gegants (Giants' Gathering), the Moors and Christians parades, the reenactment of the landing and battles, as well as a medieval market, children's activities, sports competitions, concerts, traditional dance, the Night of Fire, and fireworks.
A few days to enjoy Santa Ponça and relive one of the most important historical events in Mallorca.
