Calvià 2000 S.A. has finalised the second phase of the task to replace the drinking water mains in Illetes. Work began on 21st January and has consisted in the renovation of 1.864 metres of distribution pipes and the corresponding connections to properties situated in Paseo de Illetas and Arquitecto Casas. Initially, the projected duration of the project was 10 weeks, and the estimated total cost 321.380’44 €.

The completion of this work finalises the renovation plan of the mains distribution of drinking water in Illetes, which began with the substitution of 788 metres of piping in 2008. The mains which have been replaced dated back to the 1970's, and their poor condition led to severe loss of water, much more than acceptable levels, and constant repairs requiring supplies to be cut off, severely inconveniencing customers.

The work has been carried out as technically planned with the desired level of quality, within the estimated time. Since the beginning of the preparation of the project and work, Calvià 2000 S.A. has done the utmost to carry it out as swiftly as possible, with minimum inconvenience to the residents of the area, coordinating the various organizations and companies involved in order to achieve this.
