43 buyers from 16 countries got together with various companies on the island wishing to sell, to increase the business of tourist companies and promote the destination´s sectorial offer

The celebrated II MICE Mallorca Workshop in Calvià.

Calvià has held this weekend, the MICE Mallorca 2010 Workshop, which got together 43 buyers from 16 different countries with various companies on the island wishing to sell. The event has taken place at the Blue Bay Galatzó Hotel in Peguera, and its main aim, has been to increase the business of tourist companies and promote the destination´s sectorial offer.

With this aim, the MICE Mallorca 2010 Workshop´s programme, included activities which were held in the municipality of Calvià, according to the agreement signed between the Town Hall, Foundation Calvià 2004 and MICE Media.

This is the second workshop organised by the Majorcan company MICE Media and in this occasion, representatives or agencies which deal with the most interesting industries of the MICE Sector in Europe: automotive, information technology , banking, telecommunication, pharmacy, sports, health or defense, have attended said workshop. Also, agencies and independent professionals, responsible for big consortias, multinational representatives, senior officers, corporative event coordinators and vacation group managers, attended the workshop.

The Town Hall and Foundation Calvià 2004 consider that the celebration of the MICE Mallorca 2010 Workshop in Calvià offers a magnificent opportunity to collaborate with an initiative which permits the contribution of the promotion of Calvià as a tourist destination, with a diversified and sustainable offer based on the quality of the product , in order to satisfy all issue market demands, favouring the increase of the hotel stay throughout the year.
