Carlos Delgado gives to Alex Foundation the collection of the charitable concert that Jaime Anglada offered at the Galatzó Estate in August
The Mayor of Calvià, Carlos Delgado, has given this morning, the collection of the concert that Jaime Anglada offered at the Galatzó Estate in August in benefit of Alex Foundation, to its president, Gabriel Masfurroll.
The total of the collection, adds up to 3.710 euros, which the Foundation, dedicated to projects related with disability and unprotected childhood, and with special attention to the integration and equality of people with different abilities, through sport and health, will assign to the projects that both, the Balearic Parents of Autistic Children´s Association (APNAB) and Foundation Handisport, develop at the Galatzó Estate.
Therefore, the collection will be assigned to reinforce the task which, the Balearic Parents of Autistic Children´s Association (APNAB) carries out at the Galatzó Estate and which consists in the insertion and integration in the employment environment of various young people who do mantainance works at the estate and take care of a didactic garden and develop through the Handisport Foundation, hiking projects for people with disability in the estate, as well as improving and making easier the access of this group, to the different sport activities to be developed in mentioned estate.
The Alex Foundation, a non profit organisation, is mainly focused in promoting existing solidarity initiatives and covers different procedures such as offering medical care to children who can´t be treated in their home countries, integrate people with disability into the employment environment, the integration of people with social exclusion risk, through sport. Furthermore, carries out campaigns to raise social awarenes, donates medical material, carries out volunteering, and contributes to investigation and teaching projects.
The concert offered by Jaime Anglada, in front of about 400 people, in a limited capacity, was organised by the Calvià Town Hall and Foundation Calvià.
