Calvià will present, in these national sessions, its project “Strategy Calvià for the Climate”, as an example of local strategy against the climate change
The Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià for the Climate Municipal Office, will participate in the Local gathering sessions, which will be celebrated in Madrid, during the course of the 10th Environmental National Congress (CONAMA 10), between 23rd and 25th November.
This year, CONAMA 10 has chosen the “Strategy Calvià for the Cimate” as an example of the Local Strategy against the Climate Change, a unique and pioneer local tactic on the Balearic Islands with CO2 emissions reduction specific projects. The presentation of the strategy´s advance will take place through an informative panel fit it out in the Congress where the main climate change Mitigation and Adaptation Programmes and Plans, which take part of this Strategy 2010-2015, will be exhibited.
The participation in the CONAMA 10 represents a magnificent opportunity for the Calvià´s external promotion as a municipality committed with the local sustainable management and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as well as having an opportunity of knowing the other localities experiences through the various conferences and debate forums which are organized during the whole week.
