The Balearic Islands Official Architects School, holds until the 17th December, an exhibition of the 88 proposals presented in the ideas contest, officially announced by the Town Hall
The Balearic Islands Official Architects School´s (COAIB) central office exhibition hall, holds since last Tuesday 16th, the 88 panels, plans, photographs and descriptive reports corresponding to all the proposals presented in the ideas contest, as a preliminary plan matter, officially announced by the Calvià Town Hall for the construction of an archaeological museum.
Therefore, the Calvian Town Hall´s Tourism General Director, Jaime Martínez and the school´s dean, Luis Antonio Corral, presented not only the winning project but the different proposals which were presented in mentioned contest and now can be contemplated until the forthcoming 17th December.
As will be recalled, the project titled "Escletxa", of the architect Ramón Casanellas Massaguer and his team, Neus Frontera Carbonell and Adrià Clapés Nicolau, was chosen the winner of the contest, whereas the project "En el interior del tiempo", of the Subarquitectura studio, directed by Carlos Bañón Blázquez, achieved the second place. Furthermore, the proposal "Parqueológico" of the architects Nerea Calvillo González and Juana Canet Rosselló received a special mention.
The jury assessed, especially, from the winning project, its adaptation to the area where is introduced, its sensibility with the plant and landscape environment and its access distribution of both, park and building which is clear and precise.
