The Mayor of Calvià, Carlos Delgado, and the Deputy Mayor for Social Services, Cristina de León, have given a new grant for the International adoption, for a family in Calvià, who in 2010 , adopted a Philippine boy.

This grant, which adds up to 1.659 euros, is destined to defray both expenses, the parents and the child´s trip and the stay in the child´s country of origin while the documentation was being processed. Mentioned grant is added to the other 19, which the Town Hall has given since 2004, year when this measure started and made Calvià a municipality pioneer within this apect. It is to be recalled that the total sum of the grants given for the International adoption adds up to 40.076 euros.
