The building Es Generador holds an exhibition of Ramon Llull, which main aim is to approach the figure of this Universal Majorcan, through the 'Breviculum', to the general public regardless of age or condition, from Wednesday and until 21st September.

This exhibition allows to didactically treat the figure of Ramon Llull from the linguistic, literary, philosophical, theological, mathematical and artistic side.

Llull was a great Christian philosopher with neoplatonic tradition. Aboveall, he was one of the first writers in Europe who wrote prose works about contemporary, theology, philosophy and science themes in his mother tongue, Catalan.

He was the creator of the Catalan literary, considered father of the Catalan language. He used this Romance language to treat themes which were only kept, until that moment, in Latin. He also wrote in Latin, Arabic and Occitan. He was a layman close to the Franciscan and was declared venerable.

He wrote more than two hundred literary works. This wide production gathers novels, didactic books, treatises on philosophy, religious books, etc. Llull though that the best approach to the people who did not think like him and who had another religion was by talking, through the dialogue. Therefore he invented a system, Art, which ansewered to any question.
