The Balearic Government´s Regional Minister for Environment, Agriculture and Territory, Biel Company has visited the area of Peguera to meet with the municipal authorities headed by the Mayor of Calvià, this morning.

The Balearic Government´s Regional Minister for Environment, Agriculture and Territory, Biel Company, has visited the area of Peguera to know of the sewage treatment plant situation, also to deal with other matters such as the Galatzó Public Estate agreement and the situation of the Son Ferrer´s desalination plant, this morning.

The visit, which has counted with the presence of the Mayor of Calvià, Manuel Onieva, the Deputy Mayor for Environment, Miguel Bonet, also of the Town Hall´s manager, Víctor Hernández, and the manager for Calvià 2000, Joan Thomàs, has been qualified as "very positive" by both sides.

The gathering started at midday with a meeting at the Casal de Peguera in which various topics were presented, which some of them were highlighted, such as the financing of the sewage treatment system works, the situation of both, the municipality´s water torrents and the Son Ferrer´s desalination plant and the Galatzó Public Estate current agreement.

After the meeting, the Regional Minister, accompanied by the municipal authorities headed by the Mayor of Calvià, Manuel Onieva, went to the sewage treatment plant in Peguera to have first-hand information of the current functioning of mentioned plant and also to exchange ideas with the workers.
