The Calvià Town Hall through the Heritage department, was present at the first Responsible Rural Tourism conference, tool to exchange experiences and ethical and environmental opinions.

More than eighty people belonging to various associations related to the rural development in Spain, attended the various presentations. The conference had as a main aim “awake a new sensibility towards the exploitation of the territorial resources" and also start the government´s project of interterritorial cooperation -Responsible Rural Tourism Network-.

The responsible for the area of Heritage and coordinator of the Galatzó Public Estate, Toni Aguareles, together with the biologist, Samuel Pinya, attended the conference on behalf of the Calvià´s consistory, who informed of the ornithological tourism project "Birding Calvià".
