The RKS Women´s Race, the first race dedicated to women in the Balearics, which will be held on 13th November at the Magaluf athletics track, has been presented at the Town Hall´s plenary hall, today.

The RKS Women´s Race, an unprecedented event on the islands as it is the first race dedicated to women in the Balearics, which will be held on 13th November at the Magaluf athletics track at 10 a.m., has been presented at the Town Hall´s plenary hall, this morning.

The RKS event directors, Gabriella Gallego and Ruth Lozano, the President of the Association against Cancer of the Balearic Islands Board, Teresa Martorell and the Calvià Town Hall´s Deputy Mayor for Sports, Enrique Ortega, were present at the event.

The event will start at 10 o´clock in the morning and will consist of a 5 kilometre circuit around the said Magaluf´s track surroundings. The only requirement to participate is to be a woman and willing to spend a good day doing sport.

Part of the collection received from the registration fees, which add up to 15 euros, will be given, to the Spanish Association against Cancer, gesture which has been gratified by the President in the Balearics, Teresa Martorell, who also praised the initiative.

RKS has thanked the Calvià Town Hall for its willingness to hold such event and also facilitate the access for the use of the athletics track in Magaluf, starting and finish point of the race.
