Both, the Calvià Town Hall and the Peguera´s Hotel Federation have signed an agreement this morning with the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Territory, General Directorate for Transports, for the construction of a bus stop in the area of La Romana.

The agreement, sealed between the Mayor of Calvià, Manuel Onieva, the President of the Hotel Association in Peguera, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, and the General Director for Transports, Juan Salvador, is a result of the request made to facilitate the access to the public transport users, to said area.

The stretch in which the bus stop is expected to be located, is included within those which because of the implementation of the project for the extension of the Ma-1 dual carriageway until the Peguera´s North junction, have experienced a considerable traffic reduction.

It is expected that the road works will be finalized this year, before the beginning of the tourist high season.
