Authorities and municipal technical experts have proven that both, cycling and hicking are the main products which motivate the visit of tourists to Calvià during the winter. Bearing in mind the wide range of possibilities that the municipality counts with, within this sense, it could easily become known as the main destination in the Mediterranean, with its quality offer within both fields.
Five cycle routes have been marked within our municipal boundaries, thus converting Calvià in the perfect place to stay for cyclists. The route map which has been created is the best working tool for the cyclist.
Eleven different walking routes have been published for walkers, guiding them through the various rural walks and showing them the richness of Calvià´s nature, and its ethnological and cultural heritage.
Although cycling and walking are the main promotional novelties of the 2012/2013 campaign for the municipality, European tour operators are very much reminded of the advantages that Calvià considers towards the practice, during the low season, of sports such as rugby, football and athletics.
