Once again, the Calvià Town Hall, starts a municipal programme of support for large families. A group of measures, discounts and bonuses to help this collective are included within this plan.

One of the actions planned with regards to tax management, specifically to property tax, is the bonus of the 90% of the fee if its property tax value in 2013 is less than 195,839 euros and of the 25% if is between the 195,840 and 271,488 euros.

In housing, the consistory foresees, through a tendering process, the sale of four houses for large families, three in Peguera and one in the Galatzó residential area.

The by-law which regulates the official price to provide the services in the sports centres, contains bonuses when registering in the system, in which a 60,72% discount will be applied, and in sport services the discount reaches the 15% and the 25% as from the third child.

The programme also foresees discounts in various services, for instance in those related to the sewer system, as a 10% discount will be applied on the consumption fee to general large families and a 15% to special large families.

With regards to education, grants will be given to each user which will be as from a minimum of a 30% and a maximum of a 71% of the monthly fee, having in mind the level of the income of those who are obliged to pay.

Additionally, they will have preferent access to the programme of Summer Schools which take place in the public education centres during the months of July and August.

Large families will also have a 50% discount on the fees corresponding to youth courses and workshops which are developed at the Es Generador premises and a 25% on the cultural activities of the Sala Palmanova, the Casal de Peguera and Sa Societat.

All those interested in making use of these measures, should obtain a large family card, which is issued at the social services department.

After the advertisement of the pogramme, the municipal responsibles of the Government team highlight the great effort carried out by the Town Hall to mantain these grants, in these times of crisis in which we are submerged in, a fact that shows the involvement of the consistory with the families of the municipality.
