The Sala Palmanova held, yesterday afternoon, the presentation of diplomas for the participants of the Tea Time Chat´s initiative, where English speaking people chat with Spanish speakers with the aim of increasing their idiomatic knowledge.

The Deputy Mayor for Education and President of the IFOC, Esperanza Catalá, together with the Councillor for the International Department, Angie Guerrero, and the IFOC´s technical expert, José Antonio Del Pino, presented 118 diplomas to the participants of this initiative´s first edition, which started last November.

Due to the importance that English knowledge has in the job search, the IFOC in collaboration with the International Department started the "Tea Time Chat" project, through weekly meetings where English speaking people chat with Spanish speakers with the aim of increasing the idiomatic knowledge of the participants.

This project started on 6th November and it continued until the month of April, through sessions of one hour and a half duration, in different areas of the municipality:

The meetings were developed in premises with English decorations, and the methodology used in the sessions was eminently practical, through the use of a varied group dynamics which motivated both, the participation and the dialogue of the participants.
