Summer Police Security Operation Plan in Calvià.

The Mayor of Calvià, Manuel Onieva, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Security, Manuel Grille, the Deputy Mayor for Coast Lines and Beaches, Daniel Perpiñá, the General Director for the Interior of the Balearic Government, Sergi Torrandell, and the Chief of the Local Police of Calvià, José Antonio Navarro, have presented today, at the beach of Son Matías in Palmanova and in front of the business associations of the municipality, the wide Summer Police Security Operation Plan which, especially, start up all the municipal departments, in particular, those related to security, tourism, civil protection, cleanliness and coast lines.

Precisely, the Local Police, Civil Protection and Calvià 2000 have exhibited at said beach, part of the human and technical resources with which they are reinforced during the summer season, with the aim of offering a quality service to both, tourists and residents of the municipality.

After the presentation, the Mayor of Calvià, stated: “during the present legislature, we have committed, firmly, with those subjects related to quality, from all points of view, as we are aware that the success or the failure of the economic policy of a tourist municipality such as ours, depends on the image of excellence that we are capable of offering to both, residents and tourists”.

In this line, the Mayor of Calvià, highlighted that the public services “are working very hard in all fields and, in fact, the “Q”s for quality which the beaches of the municipality hold-the only ones in the Balearics- are a reward for part of that good work done”.

In this sense, after the presentation, the municipal authorities proceeded to both, hoist the “Q” and blue flags for quality which the beach of Son Matias now holds and present the rest of insignias to the licensee of the rest of the awarded beaches.

It should be noted that, the “Q” flags for tourist quality already fly in the beaches of Palmanova, Palmira, Es Carregador, Son Matías and Santa Ponça, as well as their corresponding blue flags, emblems which also fly in other two beaches of the municipality.
