The President of the Training and Employment Institute of Calvià (IFOC), Esperanza Català Ribó, and the President of the distinguished Business Administration and Mercantile Graduates Official School of the Balearic Islands (COTME), Aniceto Fornaris Gracia, have signed a framework collaboration agreement by virtue of which the IFOC joins the + Q EMPRENEDORS project, a training and advice programme for entreprising people willing to create a business.

Calvià leads the increase of self-employed nationwide, for this reason it is essential to strengthen and increase the support given, currently, from the IFOC to the entrepreneurs of the municipality.

The programme + Q EMPRENEDORS will allow those entrepreneurs willing to start up their entrepenurial project to receive training in those essential aspects in order to organise their project and evaluate its initial and future viability and also receive a support service for a period of a year, thus ableing to guarantee the business´ success. All those people registered through the IFOC will be able to participate freely.

Why do we sign this agreement?

Calvià leads the increase of self-employed nationwide, and from the Calvià Town Hall, aware of this situation, different support actions for the entrepreneurs of the municipality are being carried out, currently, through the Calvià´s Training and Employment Institute (IFOC). These working lines are reinforced with the signing of this agreement which will allow to approach the COTME´s + Q EMPRENEDORS initiative to the entrepreneurs of Calvià who will count with a training and support service, complementary to the one carried out currently from the IFOC.

What does +Q EMPRENEDORS offer?

The programme is composed of:

1.Training of basic and essential apects in order to create their business about the following topics:

• Entrepreneur attitude.

• Marketing / Strategic management

• Quality / quality management systems.

• Financing and budgetary control.

• Basic knowledge in the Entrepreneurs Commercial Law and Legislation.

• Accounting concepts and basic knowledge in tax management.

• Human resources: its management, organization and motivation.

• Computer tools.

The formative block is given by professionals of different disciplines and has a duration of eight weeks, two weekly sessions of 4 hours.

2.Tutorials for the Business´ Plan ellaboration and follow up.

3.Advice and support in the search of financing for those entrepreneurs who finish with success their business plan and would like to implant their business.
