The agreement contemplates that a minimum of 18 foreign teams will use the Magaluf natural turf football pitch during the months of February and March and whom will accomodate in the hotel establishments of Calvià.
The Mayor of Calvià, Manuel Onieva, has signed a collaboration agreement this morning with Viajes Urbis by virtue of which the Magaluf natural turf football pitch will be leased during the low season. A minimum of 18 teams will use the sports facilities during the months of February and March and whom will accomodate in the hotels of the municipality.
The use of the premises will come into force as from 1st February until 29th March 2014 enableing the use of the natural turf football pitch to a minimum of 18 teams coming from different countries of North Europe.
Also, the agreement includes that Viajes Urbis can advertise and commercialise the Magaluf football pitch as one of the sports facilities which their clients within their activity can enjoy with, thus making an impact in the attending trade fairs.
A maximum of two teams per day will be able to use the premises with a settled timetable during mornings and afternoons enableing to use said premises for three, four and seven days, depending on the team´s necessities.
The consistory, within its interest of diversifying its tourist offer and de-seasonalise the actitvity, continues to support the binomium sport-tourism taking advantage of the sports facilities which the municipality counts with and therefore, this signature confirms this historic agreeement.
