Three new Employment Workshops will start on 16th January providing a six-month contract to 30 unemployed people over 25 years old
The Calvià Town Hall, through the Training and Employment Agency of Calvià (IFOC), will start three new Employment Workshops "Horts de Calvià", "Jardins de Calvià" and "Boscos de Calvià" this forthcoming 16th January through which 30 people over 25 years old, willing to learn a profession while they provide a service to the community, will benefit of a six-month contract.
These pupils-workers are employed by the Calvià Town Hall from the first day and whom will take advantage of both, a combination of education and practice, allowing them to specialise in a trade, achieving therefore their labor insertion.
The main objective of said Employment Workshops is to form people in the proficiency certificates of:
"Horts de Calvià": Auxiliary Activities in agriculture.
"Boscos de Calvià": Auxiliary Activities in preservation and improvement of forests.
"Jardins de Calvià": Auxiliary Activities in gardens and garden centres.
The activity of the Employment Workshop “Jardins de Calvià” will be developed, mainly, at the municipal archaeological park Puig de sa Morisca, whereas the other two will take place in the Galatzó Public Estate.
These projects have been cofinanced by the SOIB (Balearic Islands Employment Service Agency), the State Employment Service Agency (SEPE) and the European Social Fund (FSE).
