The jury of Sa Rua de Calvià 2014 poster competition met on Tuesday 4th February to choose the proposal which will serve as a base of this year's poster.
41 have been the proposals presented, with a total of 30 participants. The posters have come from different cities of the mainland highlighting also the participation of the residents of the municipality, having been awarded precisely the poster of a Santa Ponça resident.
It has not been easy for the jury to choose the winning poster as the majority of them were of high technical and artistic level.
In the end, the prize has been awarded to Eduardo Biayna Valls whose poster has been presented under the slogan “gallo con plumero”, for its colours and originality. The winning poster represents a colourful figure of a human-shape slim rooster with colourful feathers and which is holding a moon in its hands.
The jury wants to highlight the number and the quality of the proposals received and specially the posters of both, Ramón Torrens Ramis presented under the slogan “Les 2014 caretes de Calvià” and Xavier Vidal Bonilla presented under the slogan “Empápate de Rua”, as the final decision was taken amongst these three options. The winning poster will be awarded with 500 €.
The organization is very happy with the participation of this second poster competition which with regards to last year has increased considerably and expects to continue with this competition which adds attractiveness to the already participative Rua of Calvià.
The winning poster, together with the competition's terms and conditions, will see the light soon inundating the streets of the municipality and the social networks which are managed from the Department of Culture.
Awaiting to have the definitive poster, the winning proposal can be seen at www.facebook.com/culturacalvia, @culturacalvia #ruacalvia14 and at www.calvia.com/cultura
