A total of 195 Calvià residents (152 people from the English group and 43 people from the German group) have benefited from the Tea Time Chat's English and German sessions which ended last week.
To celebrate the end of the term, each pupil wrote some sentences in the foreign language with which they have been practising during the Tea Time Chat's sessions, and in a few weeks, a dossier with all the compositions compiled by themselves will be presented to them.
Amongst the sentences compiled, the majority of the pupils coincided with the same idea: "we would like to continue enjoying with the Tea Time Chat next year".
A great number of participants attended the event which counted with the presence of the Councillor of the International Department, Angie Guerrero, who thanked the participation of all the attendee.
The “Tea Time Chat” project started in November continuing until the month of March through sessions, of one hour and a half duration, which have been developed in different bars, with English/German decorations, spread throughout different areas of the municipality: Mesón del Rey (Santa Ponça), La Cartuja (Palmanova), San Remo (Portals), Snooker Bistro Café (El Toro) and El Maño (Costa de la Calma).
In said sessions, English and German speaking people had the chance to chat with Spanish speakers with the aim of increasing their idiomatic knowledge, so important in the job search.
