44 Calvian students have acquired labour experience in more than 30 businesses during the months of July and August.
The Deputy Mayor for Education, Esperanza Catalá, has chaired the presentation of diplomas to the young people of the municipality of Calvià whom have benefited from a Summer grant of the programme BECAlvia, which has been developed from 1st July until 31st August.
The young people of the municipality whom have benefited from BECAlvia, 44 in total, are students in university and and in formative courses whom have had the chance to acquire labour experience in a total of 33 businesses, according to their current studies.
Also, the businesses have received a recognition from the Town Hall, through a diploma, for their collaboration in this new programme of grants.
BECAlvià started last year with the idea of both, provide labour experience to the young people of the municipality facilitating their access to the labour world once they finish their studies, and also give the “BECAlvia businesses” the chance to know our youth.
Esperanza Catalá, during the event, highlighted the commitment of the Government Team to offer labour experience to the young people of Calvià through this type of grants.
