The Associació de Teatres i Auditoris Públics de les Illes Balears was constituted in September 2005 and currently six municipalities are part of it: Alcúdia, Artà, Calvià, Capdepera, Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Its objectives are, amongst others, the promotion of musical and theatre activities, the formation of public, the establishment of communication and collaboration mechanisms with the artistic sector and the collaboration with the different public and private entities in the development of the intervention and management within the scenic and musical arts field.
The six municipalities which make up the association gather stage spaces of the Balearic Islands with a settled and continuing programming throughout the year. The ATAPIB is aboveall a debating, meeting, exchanging, brainstorming space to decide the various subjects which affect the day by day of theatres and auditoriums.
On the other hand, they also offer more and more joint programmes. This means that they come to agreements to contract interesting performances for the different public. This favours the companies to perform in more spaces, and also that from the Public Administration the resources are managed efficiently, thus diminshing costs.
The prize-giving event will take place at the Galatzó Public Estate at 9 p.m. Entrance with invitation.
