The Calvià Town Hall has organised a talk addressed to the citizens to inform them about the problems that can arise with the tiger mosquito and resolve their doubts.
The talk will take place on Wednesday 15th July at the “Es Generador” premises, at 8 Voranova St., Son Caliu, at 7:30p.m.
The Town Hall's Environment Service started in 2013 an Entomological Surveillance Programme together with other municipalities, the Evironment Council and the UIB (University of the Balearic Islands). This programme consists in the distribution of ovitraps throughout the municipality to detect the presence and the activity of the tiger mosquito. A strategic plan for the prevention and control of the tiger mosquito in Calvià was elaborated in 2015.
