The Mayor of Calvià forwards the necessity of regulating the all inclusive with quality standards to the president Armengol.
The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, held a meeting this afternoon with the President of the Balearic Government, Francina Armengol, at the Consolat de la Mar, in a first meeting which the town councillor described as profitable for Calvià, as they talked about issues of great importance such as tourism.
Rodríguez Badal put on the table the necessity of regulating aspects which provoke an important impact in the sector such as the All Inclusive. The Mayor assured that the regulation of the All Inclusive is necessary, and not only under quality standards but also excluding free of charge alcohol in this type of offers.
In matters of tourism he also asked the President to maintain the investments which are negotiated and verbally agreed, related to the improvement of the areas, and he insisted in the fact that the tourist offer should be accompanied by an improvement of the labour conditions of the workers, therefore, according to the policies pointed out by the Regional Ministry for Labour, he requests an active action to watch over the rights of the sector's workers.
The Mayor of Calvià also requested, in labour matters, to count again with the local entities to undertake active employment policies. In this sense, he highlighted the importance of entities such as the IFOC (Training and Employment Institute of Calvià), to collaborate with the Regional Government.
