It has been a first contact to know the activities which both institutions undertake for the promotion of sport amongst children and youth
The Mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal held a meeting with the insular director for Sport, Margalida Portells, who has informed of the sport programmes started up by the Consell de Mallorca, focused on promoting the practice of sport of children and youth, and has known the activities which are being carried out in Calvià, also in the school sphere. It has been a first contact to know the activities undertaken by both institutions within this subject.
Have attended the meeting, on behalf of Calvià Town Hall, the Deputy Mayor for Social Cohesion responsible for Education, Nati Francés; the Deputy Mayor for Sport, Eva Serra; the Director General for Sport, Marcos Pecos; the ICE's manager, Antoni Sitges, and the IMEB's manageress, Cecilia Valls. On the part of the Consell have attended the meeting, apart from the insular director for Sport, the Head of Service, Miquel Roca, and the sport technical of the region of Ponent, Jesús Macarro.
