THE TOWN HALLS OF CALVIÀ AND PUIGPUNYENT WILL WORK JOINTLY TO IMPROVE THE PUBLIC PATHS WHICH COMMUNICATE BOTH MUNICIPALITIES

A work team will coordinate the actions to recuperate and improve this public heritage.

The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the Mayor of Puigpunyent, Biel Ferrà, held a first meeting to coordinate joint actions to improve the public paths which communicate both municipalities. Thus, they have agreed to start up a work team to undertake this task.

Both municipalities have the willingness to recuperate old public paths which, also are part of the Serra de Tramuntana, and which have a great interest from the historical, cultural and even tourist point of view. The objective is to be able to improve these paths and signalise them, in order to, also, promote hiking.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Commerce and Urban Planning, Antonio García Moles, and the Director General for Urban Planning and Environment, Jaume Carbonero. The Puigpunyent's Councillor for Maintenance, Urban Planning and Housing, and Patrimony, Francesc Canyelles, was also at the meeting.
