You can participate in the deep sea and beach cleaning session of Cala Figuera and Cala Fornells on 30th October at 10 a.m.
Every year, the Calvià Town Hall's Environment Service, through the Calvià for the Climate office, organises a series of deep sea and beach cleaning sessions with the aim of preserving the quality of the beaches of the municipality and protecting the marine ecosystems, specially, the seagrass meadows that are a vital lung to counteract the effects of greenhouse gases which cause climate change and global warming.
The beaches of Calvià need collaboration and that volunteers join the “Brigada verde” (Green Brigade), in order to continue enjoying the beauty of Calvià and its beaches in a healthy environment in the future.
The citizens of Calvià have a new apportunity to help their municipality, their beaches and their environment enjoying a Day in which they will meet people and they will learn that each and every effort counts, no matter how small it is. It is important that the tourists who visit us can see how the citizens of Calvià look after their environment thus understanding that they too must respect it. A snack will be provided to regain strength, and each volunteer will go home with the satisfaction of having done a good job.
If you would like to participate in the forthcoming cleaning sessions of Cala Figuera and Cala Fornells on Saturday 31st October at 10 a.m., you must contact with the Calvià for the Climate office.
