Gathering in Santa Ponça as a sign of rejection and condemnation for the murder by male violence occurred in Calvià. Attendees wanted to show their dismay at what happened and join the pain of the families as well as show unity against this scourge.
A gathering against gender violence and as a sign of condemnation for the murder committed in the municipality was held on Saturday 23rd January at 5 p.m. at the plaza de la Pinada (pinewood square) of Santa Ponça. Five minutes of silence were held in memory of Lisa Jane, and of all the victims of gender violence.
The Mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal and the rest of the Town Hall's Councillors were amongst the attendees.
Also, the Vice President of the Regional Government, Biel Barceló, attended the gathering.
