The SOIB, through these programs, will finance the recruitment, which will be undertaken by the Town Hall, of 28 full-time workers during 6 months.

The SOIB participates in this programme which is co-financed by both, the European Social Fund (FSE) and the Estate Occupation Public Service (SEPE).

The programme enables local entities to hire workers over 35 years old (giving priority to those over 53 and 45 years old) who in the last year and a half have been at least 12 months unemployed and who have not benefit of an economic compensation or subsidy.

The Town Hall will contract them to develop the works or services of general or social interest and also will provide them with training in basic skills (mathematics, Spanish language and Catalan), and this will allow them to pursue Level 2 professional certificates and improve the professional grading.

Two teachers specialists in basic skills were hired in order to develop the training programme.
The selection of beneficiaries was carried out in collaboration with the SOIB during the month of January, taking into account the access criteria and priorities established in the official announcement (older workers, with a level not superior to EGB or with dependents), and the professional profiles (occupations) demanded by the different areas of the Town Hall where the projects are developed.

At the end of the projects, the IFOC will provide them with the necessary resources to promote employment: the Municipal Work Agency or the Entrepreneur Service, additional training actions, or the Professional Guidance Service.
